As organizers of the Falling Leaf Festival (FLF) , we are excited to announce the upcoming 70th birthday celebration of this beloved event. We would also like to inform you about a temporary street closure that will be in effect to accommodate the festivities.

The FLF has been an integral part of our community for seven decades, marking the transition into autumn and fostering a sense of camaraderie among residents and visitors alike. This year's milestone anniversary is a testament to the enduring spirit of our town.

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, please note the following street closures :

- the closure of Wynyard Street between Snowy Mountains Highway and Russell Street from 9pm on Friday 26th until midnight on Saturday 27 April

- Russell Street closed between 6am and 8pm on Saturday 27th between Fuller Street and the Commercial Hotel driveway.

During the festival, the street will come alive with vibrant market stalls offering a variety of goods from local artisans and vendors. The market stalls will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, providing ample opportunities for festival-goers to explore and shop.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that the Saturday of the Festival will feature the street parade, starting at 1:00 pm. We encourage you and your patrons to line the streets and join in the excitement as the procession passes by.

Furthermore, there will be stage entertainment throughout the day, with performances scheduled from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. We invite you to come and enjoy the live music, dance performances.

As we celebrate this significant milestone, the Festival committee would like to express our appreciation for the increased engagement of the local business community. Your support and participation have been instrumental in making FLF a valued tradition for 70 years.

We understand that this temporary street closure may impact your business operations, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, we are committed to minimizing disruptions as much as possible and have worked closely with local authorities to implement alternative routes and parking arrangements during this time.

We encourage you to take advantage of the increased foot traffic generated by FLF by offering special promotions or extending your business hours during the event. This presents a great opportunity to attract new customers and showcase what your business has to offer.

If you have any questions regarding the street closure or the festival, please do not hesitate to contact us.. We value your partnership and support in making the 70th Birthday FLF a memorable and successful event for our community.
