Festival Street Parade

The Falling Leaf Festival Street Parade is a Tumut institution, loved by participants and spectators alike. In 2018, the parade will be held on Saturday 28th April, and we're now calling on local businesses, community organisations and school groups to "float up", get your entry form in, and start preparing your parade entry.

This year the parade theme is ‘Tumut, then & now’.  We encourage all participants to use this theme as a guide to decorating floats and/or dressing up.

“Tumut, then & now” means taking a look back at those things which made Tumut what it is today, and to celebrate where we are now as a community. Through your floats and costumes we’d love to see diverse views of Tumut, whether it be early pioneers, great infrastructure (like the Snowy Hydro), our rich history of farming or the flourishing forestry industry.  Why not design a float around the history of your organisation or group, showing off uniforms through the ages or different logos, old and new machinery etc.  There’s so much to be proud of about our communities, or town and its surrounds, and these are but a few examples.

We love our Tumut and love to show our commitment to town and community. Participating in the Falling Leaf Festival Street Parade is a fun, inclusive and exciting way to get involved and promote your business or group to locals as well as visitors from around the region.

We can't wait to see all the inventive, fun and creative ideas come to life, as they "float" down the street on parade day.

It would be appreciated if Street Parade Entry Forms could be sent through by Friday 13th April 2018
